Arrive, open a bottle of Mendocino Vintage Cabernet in a paneled room. Toast your time away from your ordinary concerns, listening to your favorite disk. Watch the sunset over the Pacific from your deck and then sit down in front of your fire listening to the crackle of the burning wood.

Go down to dinner, and enjoy outstanding cuisine at the inn's nationally acclaimed vegetarian restaurant. After dinner, select a romantic comedy from our extensive video collection to share.

The next day, after breakfast, take one of our WENONAH canoes or kayaks and explore California's longest undeveloped estuary now part of the State's newest park. The river's solitude is punctuated by cries of osprey, the rustle of deer moving through the forest canyon, and ducks taking flight. Watch for the harbor seal who usually follows paddlers.

After canoeing or kayaking, relax in the hot tub followed by a massage at Massage in the Forest.

Once you have recovered from so much relaxation, take some time to walk along the bluffs over Mendocino Bay. Return to the inn to enjoy the company of other guests at Afternoons at the Inn. Come for an early dinner then return to your room just to be with one another.

After breakfast the next day, visit Mendocino, explore the village's many galleries and visit the Mendocino Art Center. While at the Center, check out the class schedule and arrange a class for a future visit.

Later borrow a mountain bike and ride along one of the logging roads now incorporated in the new Big River State Park.

Return to the inn in time to enjoy time with other guests at Afternoons at the Inn or if you rather, the quiet of your room and treats left for you to enjoy in the privacy of your room.
